About Us
Northcote Stud is a family owned equestrian centre based in Old Langho, Blackburn. With extensive facilities, our ethos is to promote top level sport whilst providing an environment you enjoy visiting. We offer three fully-equipped arenas, all with the same fantastic Andrews Bowen Pro surface. From national level competition to on-site coaches, visiting clinicians and five-star livery, there is something for everyone at Northcote.

Emily Raistrick
Managing Director
Emily has been riding since the age of 8 and is now living her dream with Northcote Stud. She graduated from the Royal Agricultural University with a 2:1 honours degree in Equine Science and Business Management. With years of experience in both riding and breeding, she has successfully produced young horses through every stage of development, taking them all the way to Grand Prix level. Her passion and dedication continue to shine through in her work with Northcote Stud.
Ben Raistrick
Rider & Trainer
Ben and Emily got married in September 2025 and together they run Northcote Stud. Ben has been involved with horses from an early age and worked with some of the best in the business. Ben competes nationally and internationally and regularly provides instruction to riders of all ages and levels. At home Ben will turn his hand to anything when he is not riding (or having a pint)!
Millie Coultherd
Manager
For many, Millie will be the first voice on the phone or the first face you meet in the office. She joined us in April 2022 after graduating from university with a degree in Sports Events Management and quickly became a valued and vital member of the team. She now runs the day-to-day operations and organises all the events.
Chelsea Jones
Show Groom
Chelsea started with us in May 2023. Day to day, Chelsea is on the yard, but also attends all shows with Northcote and her attention to detail in the care and turn out of the horses is unmatched.
Kieran Watts
Rider & Groom
Kieran joined our team in November 2024 and plays a key role in training and developing our young horses. From starting their groundwork to guiding them through their first shows and beyond, Kieran’s expertise and dedication help every horse reach its full potential.
Alex Feeney
Yard Groom
Alex is part-time and has been with us from the start. Alex is very reliable, flexible and nothing is too much trouble for her. She is great with all the horses and helps us with anything and everything.
Eden Coultherd
Yard Groom
Eden joined us in June 2022, having previously been part of the arena maintenance team at the Young Horse Show. She quickly became a valued member of our team, balancing her commitment around her A Levels and her own horses.
Fran Dixon
Yard Groom
Fran joined us part-time in April 2023 and has been a wonderful addition to the team. She is always eager to help and has a real love for working with the horses. When she’s not on the yard, you’ll often find her taking great pride in keeping the site pristine.
Jess Bailey
Apprentice Yard Groom
Jess joined our team in August 2024 to complete her Level 3 Senior Equine Groom Apprenticeship. Since then, she has been an invaluable addition, dedicated, hardworking, and an absolute pleasure to work with.
