Northcote Stud is a family owned equestrian centre based in Old Langho, Blackburn. With extensive facilities, our ethos is to promote top level sport whilst providing an environment you enjoy visiting. We offer three fully-equipped arenas, all with the same fantastic Andrews Bowen 'ProWax' surface. From national level competition to on-site coaches, visiting clinicians and five-star livery, there is something for everyone at Northcote.

Emily Whiteside

From starting to ride at 8 years old, Emily is living her dream with Northcote Stud. She graduated from the Royal Agricultural University with a 2:1 honours degree in Equine Science and Business Management. Emily Says: "I have been riding for 20 years, 6 of them professionally, whilst working part-time as a marketing manager and breeding from home. I competed at international level show jumping events in both Europe and North America. I'm passionate about breeding horses too and have my own mares and stallions, as well as producing young horses." Emily is succeeding, with her young horses all the way through to Grand Prix level. 


Event & Sport Manager

Adam Cromarty

Adam has a varied background in the equestrian industry but is probably best known as a presenter, commentator and Horse & Hound columnist. He has been seen and heard on channels including BBC, Sky Sports and Eurosport. Adam is also a FEI/BS Judge and a qualified coach. In these various roles, he is regularly exposed to top level sport at FEI Championships and venues including Spruce Meadows. Adam is using this experience to help Northcote provide a venue that promotes top sport and exacting standards.

Millie Coultherd

For most, the first person you'll speak to on the phone or meet in the show office is Millie. She joined us in April 2022 after completing University with a degree in Sports Events Management. She has mostly competed in British Eventing and has now quickly become a vital member of the team.


Yard Manager

Danny Bone

Danny has worked at Northcote Stud for 5 years, having spent six years at a riding school as a Senior Coach and Assistant Manager. He previously worked freelance for two years, as well as running a livery yard where he experienced a mix of full, part, sales, breaking and competition liveries. He's also been a yard manager for an eventer and competition groom. Danny successfully completed the Stage 2 and 3 BHS exams.

Jess Szacsky

Whether on the yard at Northcote or with the team at a show, Jess is a key part of ensuring the Northcote Stud horses are kept in top condition. She has ridden her whole life and competes to a high level in dressage.
